~SAFETY, ACCESSIBILITY & washrooms~

Safety: By purchasing tickets to and participating in Sappyfest, you agree to adhere to our Code of Conduct found here

Venue Accessibility and Washrooms: Sappyfest utilizes multiple indoor and outdoor venues throughout Sackville. Detailed information on entrances/exits, wheelchair access, seating, washrooms and more will be available when our 2025 venues and schedule are finalized. At this time, we do not offer sign language interpretation though we hope to change this in the future. Our partner venues have varied combinations of gender neutral, gendered, single and multi-stall washrooms. We encourage all festival venues not operated by Sappyfest to mark their washrooms as gender neutral during our events.  Please check back for updates or email us at director@sappyfest.com with any questions. We’re happy to provide details on 2024 venues and offerings, as there will be overlap.

Accessibility Pass: Ticket-buyers requiring a support person may reserve one free ticket with the purchase of their own. Please contact us at director@sappyfest.com after making your purchase to request your free accessibility pass.

Financial Accessibility: Sappyfest is committed to programming several free events each festival including musical performances, artist talks, workshops, and art, and there are many opportunities to take in the festival in exchange for volunteer time. If cost is a barrier, please keep an eye on our website for free events and volunteer opportunities.

COVID-19 measures: In the spirit of community care and to help protect touring artists, our team, and audiences, we always welome and encourage wearing masks. We stock kn95 masks on hand to distribute for free and have Corsi–Rosenthal air filtration boxes at all indoor venues. Please practice good hand washing hygiene, cough or sneeze into your arm, practice consent when touching people or encroaching on personal space, and stay home if you are experiencing symptoms. If you begin experiencing symptoms during the festival we respectfully require you to leave. If this happens to you, please contact productionassistant@sappyfest.com immediately. We will transfer your pass or ticket to another year of your choosing or facilitate a refund.
