Dog Day is a band from Canada's underground scene who have been making gloom pop for 19 years.  After the release of their album Present in 2020, which marked their first album in 7 years, artists and filmmakers Seth Smith and Nancy Urich have reconvened with original drummer KC Spidle (of Diamondtown/Gemstones) to work on their upcoming album A T-shirt with Writing on It, scheduled to be released this summer. In January 2024, Dog Day released ALMOST, a digital compilation featuring B-sides, unfinished songs, rejects, and rarities from the years 2020-2006.
